Hello There Friend!

Our names are Sarah and Dean and we are Living with Llamas! Well not literally, we don’t own any llamas...but the name is kind of catchy, right?

We began our gluten free journey back in 2019 when we found out that I (Sarah :)) am gluten intolerant. We say “gluten-intolerant” and not “celiac” because I tested negative for celiac a few years ago during a very inconclusive endoscopy that left us questioning everything. Things got to the point where I couldn’t eat anything without feeling sick to my stomach; and after losing a concerning amount of weight, we knew something had to change. After a lot of trial and error to try to figure out what was going on, gluten seemed to be the culprit.

It has taken us a lot of research and a whole bunch of mistakes, but I feel like we have learned how to live gluten free without feeling like we are sacrificing on the whole “food experience”.. Or breaking the bank to keep “safe” food in the fridge. We, like many people, started off thinking that gluten free ment dry, flavorless, and restrictive. Since then we have proved to ourselves that more often than not, gluten-free can be just as delicious as its gluten counterpart!
